Before

You are at a conference in a new city. The conference has ended for the day and you have the evening to yourself. You would really like to see a concert but don’t know where to go or even who is performing. You return to the hotel room, picking us a newspaper on the way. You begin to page through the newspaper and search online for something he would like. However, no artists you recognized were playing. By the time you may have found someone you think you might like, it is much too late to see a performance. Result: night in the hotel.

After

You would like to see a concert so you whip out your phone. It automatically recognizes where you are. You type in a few artists you like and a list of close concerts by similar artists appears. You look at the artist biographies for a few of the options before finally choosing one that seems a perfect fit. You purchase the tickets from the app, and arrive early enough to get the perfect spot. You party for the rest of the night.
